Cameras you can check from your phone, installed by the rules.
We install CCTV systems for offices, clinics, healthcare facilities and businesses in Rome: IP cameras, recording on an NVR or UniFi Protect, a separate network and viewing from your phone. And we prepare the technical documentation needed to make them compliant.
A camera goes up in an hour. The rest doesn't.
Cameras on the same network as the computers, recorders reachable from the internet with the factory password, footage kept for months for no reason, no sign at the entrance. And in a workplace, cameras switched on without a union agreement or authorisation from the labour inspectorate. A system like that exposes you to security risks and fines, and often isn't even useful when you really need to review an incident.
From site visit to footage on your phone.
- 01
Site visit
We work out what you want to protect and from what: entrances, tills, stockrooms, car parks, outdoor areas. We look at light, distances, mounting points and cable runs, and also at what the cameras must not film.
- 02
Choosing the cameras
PoE-powered IP cameras, indoor or outdoor, with night vision where needed and lenses suited to the distance. We choose them for the view they have to cover, not for their megapixel count.
- 03
Installation and network
Mounting, cabling and configuration. The cameras sit on a dedicated VLAN, separate from the computers and the guest network, and are not exposed to the internet.
- 04
Recording and remote viewing
Recording on an NVR or UniFi Protect, with retention periods agreed with you and your privacy adviser and automatic deletion. Viewing from the phone only for authorised people, each with their own login.
- 05
Documentation and handover
Floor plan with the position and field of view of every camera, device list, retention and access settings: the technical documentation your adviser or DPO needs for notices, assessments and applications.
A system you can explain.
As well as the footage, we leave you everything you need to show how the system is built and why.
Where you need to see what happens.
Clinics and outpatient centres
Entrances, waiting rooms and technical areas, without filming consulting rooms.
Residential and care facilities
Entrances, perimeter and common areas, coordinated with the alarm system.
Offices and professional firms
Entrances and technical rooms, especially after closing time.
Shops and businesses
Tills, stockrooms and shop windows, with footage on your phone.
Hospitality
Reception, entrances and car parks, with signs and privacy notices for guests.
Cameras, network and privacy, in one project.
A CCTV system is first of all a set of networked devices: if the network is badly built, the cameras become a way in. We design cameras, network and access together, with the same method we use for the networks of clinics and healthcare facilities, and we work alongside the people who handle alarms and privacy. In one clinic, for example, we coordinated the extension of the alarm system into the new wing with its suppliers.
Before the cameras go live.
Do workplace cameras need authorisation?
If the cameras could also film employees, yes. In Italy, Article 4 of the Workers' Statute (Law 300/1970) allows installation only for organisational and production needs, workplace safety or protection of company assets, and requires a prior agreement with the workers' union representatives or, failing that, authorisation from the labour inspectorate.
What does the GDPR require?
In short: a visible information sign before entering the filmed area, fields of view limited to what is necessary, footage kept for a short, proportionate period, and access restricted to authorised people. These are the principles of the GDPR, the Italian data protection authority's guidance and EDPB Guidelines 3/2019 on video devices.
How long can recordings be kept?
As briefly as the purpose allows: the guidance from the Italian authority and the EDPB generally points to a few days, unless there are specific needs that must be justified. You set the period with your privacy adviser and we configure it on the system, with automatic deletion.
Do you handle the legal side too?
No, we don't give legal advice. We prepare the system's technical documentation (fields of view, retention, access, security) for your adviser or DPO, who takes care of notices, assessments and the procedure with the unions or the inspectorate.
Can I watch the cameras from my phone?
Yes, with the recorder's app or UniFi Protect, without opening ports to the internet. Every authorised person has their own login, which can be revoked at any time.
